Administer and enforce the State Building Code, oversee compliance with the Town Zoning Ordinance, manage inspections and permits, lead a team of inspectors and support staff, ensure adherence to Massachusetts General Laws and local bylaws, provide professional and technical guidance, collaborate with the Town Administrator on policy direction, develop and implement departmental procedures, maintain accurate records and reports, engage with the public and stakeholders on building regulations.

Bachelor's degree in a related field, Massachusetts Certification as an Inspector of Buildings/Building Commissioner, five years of experience in building construction or design, direct management experience, advanced technical training, any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations, inspection techniques, zoning laws, leadership, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, familiarity with Massachusetts General Laws, building and construction management.
