Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive plan reviews for Massachusetts Building Code compliance, Review architectural, structural, fire and life-safety, accessibility, and egress components, Collaborate with design professionals, municipal officials, and internal teams, Deliver clear and defensible code interpretations and written comments, Maintain accurate and timely documentation of plan reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

Massachusetts State Certification (Plans Examiner or equivalent), ICC Plans Examiner Certifications (Building preferred), Proven experience in municipal or third-party plan review, Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts amendments, Excellent written communication skills, MA Licensed Engineer or Architect, Multi-discipline ICC certifications (preferred), Experience with commercial, mixed-use, or specialized occupancies (preferred), Familiarity with electronic plan review platforms (preferred).

Preferred Skills

Proficient in building plan reviews, Strong understanding of Massachusetts Codes and Standards, Familiarity with electronic plan review platforms, Excellent written and verbal communication, Strong professional judgment, Collaborative team player, Knowledge of accessibility and fire safety regulations, Experience in reviewing complex building projects.
